A picture is worth a thousand words. Anything and anything. Just give us pics! So yeah..... we're moving! I have been so busy I didn't even find the time to take a picture of the for sale sign. I had to find one off of Getty Images, sad I know. The hubby is furthering his carrier in pharmacy and we needed to relocate. It truly is a blessing because if I'm being honest we don't have the best neighbors. ( I am so sorry if you have dealt with bad neighbors. I feel your pain!) This question for the week was perfect for me because it expla

This weeks question   How have your reading habits changed in the past few years? Did you get interested in a new genre? Do you read more? Less? Why do you think your habits changed, if they did.      I use to read dystopian all the time. After The Hunger Games I NEEDED dystopian books and nothing else. Now I am loving YA fantasy I love feeling like I am in a different world and it really helps me escape the stress I have from a hard day. Dystopian went from me really loving it to almost making me paranoid of what the world could end up being, and that does not ease my stress. I still love

Hidden Gems: Bookstore Edition (North Florida)

I am so excited to start these posts. I decided to do multiple stores in one posts. If you guys would rather have posts that feature just one store for each post let me know and I will change it. I picked cities from North Florida if you have been to any of these stores let me know your experience there.                             Pensacola   Open Books    As I was researching stores for this post I stumbled upon this bookstore and found it very interesting. I Need Your Help!

So if you have followed me for awhile then you know that I wrote a post about James Patterson's program where he donates his money to indie bookstores. I was really moved by the articles I read on this program. I think that we all can relate when it comes to our love of bookstores. I am not here to preach or make you feel bad for going to chain bookstores, ordering books online, or using your E-reader because I do all of these! I do however think it is important to help out indie bookstores. I have had some great experience's with indie stores because most of these owners have to work their butts off just to compete with the chain bookstores in their communities. So I bet you are wondering why I need your help right? Well I want to start doing posts on here about indie bookstores from all over! I want my readers to know what make these bookstores worth the stop, but sadly I cant travel all over the place no matter how much I would like to. So my friends this is where you come

Syrena law states that all Half- Breeds should be put to death. As if that’s not bad enough, her mother’s reappearance among the Syrena turns the two kingdoms—Poseidon and Triton—against one another. Which leaves Emma with a decision to make: Should she comply with Galen’s request to keep herself safe and just hope for the best? Or should she risk it all and

Review: Legacy Lost by: Anna Banks

"He is a mer-prince, she is the mermaid princess that his family orders him to marry so that their kingdoms unite. Grom dreads this arrangement, until he meets Nalia — both beautiful and smart, she's everything he ever wanted. But just when their connection grows deeper, tragedy strikes. Legacy Lost is a prequel story to Anna Banks' debut novel, OF POSEIDON ." I loved this prequel it was so sweet and funny to see Grom and Nalia's story. I feel like it was for sure something that we as readers needed so we could feel more connected to these two characters since they are playing a huge part in Of Triton . I laughed and had a few tears shed. This was amazing that this got emotions out of me like it did since it is so short (32 pages). The length of the prequel was the only downfall for me. Even as a prequel it could have been longer then just 32 pagers, but at the same time Banks got her story and point across in a beautiful way. I highly recommend this preque

James Patterson Fighting For Bookstores & You Can Too!

How many times have you got on the internet and sure enough there is yet again another article talking about how they believe there is no room for bookstores in the future? Well I don't know about you but it makes me wish that there were more articles about how to save bookstores instead of the depressing ones saying they believe our beloved bookstores may soon be extinct. So when I woke up this morning to a text from my mother in-law telling me that she found an article about James Patterson starting a program to help save independent bookstores I knew I had to check it out and then share the joy with you guys. From my understanding over a course of six months Patterson is taking his own money (one million dollars) to divvy out to multiple independent bookstores to help them improve their stores, and also to be able to give their employees advances on their pay. There is a lovely interview from  The New York Times  and Publisher's Weekly  with Patterson that is so eye opening
